Otaibi stands in the middle of his 55-year-old family house, in the Eastern Nuzlah District, that was recently destroyed by the authorities for not having legal ownership titles. “It was a short notice on the same day for evacuation and demolition. There was no time for us to move our furniture so they destroyed everything,” he said. There are still two liveable rooms intact in the house where Al-Otaibi and his wife and children stay without electricity. “It is a flagrant violation of Royal Decrees that have ordered authorities to leave us alone,” said Nawaf Al-Otaibi, whose house was also destroyed in the same neighborhood. – Okaz photo by Saeed Al
