Shabab booked its berth in the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup Championship routing Al-Hazm of Al-Rass 5-0 at the King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, Saturday. Al-Shabab continued the high-scoring trend in the championship thanks to two goals each by Faisal Al-Sultan and Abdu Otaif and a goal by Nasser Al-Shamrani. Shabab, which lost 4-2 to Hazm in the first-leg match, kept the rival under check from the start while pressing forward all the time. The tactic worked when Zaid Al-Muallad succeeded in breaking the trap in the 11th minute with a cross to Al-Sultan who put it in the net to secure the lead for the host. Nasser Al-Shamrani scored the second for Shabab in the 34th minute on a perfect pass from Abdu Otaif. Abdu Abdu himself made it 3-0 three minutes later when he dribbled and shot the ball in Naj'ea's left corner. Hazm came back after the break with grit and Yahya Majrash almost reduced the margin but Khoja somehow saved his 51st minute long shot. Shabab reacted immediately and Al-Sultan's shot from outside the box made it 4-0 three minutes later. Abdu Otaif rubbed salt on Hazm wounds when he put Hasan Mo'az's cross in the net in the 87th minute to make it 5-0. Hazm keeper Mansour Al-Naj'ea had his hands full in the first 30 minutes of the first half. Mohammed Khoja, a Saudi international keeper, on the other end had a peaceful night as Hazm strikers, especially Kuwaiti Fahd Al-Rasheedi, looked slow. Khoja made the team after Waleed Abdullah took leave following the death of his new-born daughter. Shabab's Argentinian coach Hector could be seen talking to someone over his mobile apparently giving instructions. He was red carded in the first leg semifinal match. Shabab will find out its final opponent Sunday when Al-Ittihad meets Al-Hilal in Jeddah. Ittihad won the first-leg match 4-1. Real-Nasr friendly May 20 Spanish champion Real Madrid will play Al-Nasr in a friendly in Saudi Arabia.
