King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, will outline Saudi policies on many important issues in his address to the Shoura Council Saturday. Chairman of the Shoura Council Dr. Saleh Bin Abdullah Bin Humaid said the King's address to the opening of the fourth year of the fourth session of 150-member consultative body will set out the Kingdom's domestic and foreign policies. Last year, King Abdullah highlighted the progress made by the Kingdom in economic, educational and social fields and announced the objectives of the Eighth Five Year Plan. He also briefed the Council on the salient features of the Allegiance Commission as well as the efforts of the Kingdom for peace and stability in the region. During its fourth year, the Shoura Council accomplished numerous projects. It discussed 126 topics including the annual reports of the ministries and government departments, regulations, statutes, agreements and treaties. It approved 235 recommendations made by its various committees. Bin Humaid said the Shoura Council has qualified and experienced members in different specializations. Many Council members have joined government departments or have risen to high-ranking positions. He confirmed that the Council has six part-time female consultants. They participate in many subjects forwarded to the Council for discussion, especially those related to families. Several world leaders addressed the Shoura Council. __
