Pak ties With reference to the report “Qaeda may provoke Indo-Pak war: Gates” (Jan. 21), I must say it will be really foolish on the part of India and Pakistan to be conned into war by outfits like Al-Qaeda or any other foreign agency/group that has ulterior motives. Both countries have been progressing satisfactorily and also face similar problems. A war will push these countries at least a decade backwards. The authorities and other peace-loving citizens should see to it that a war hysteria is not built up. War hysteria may lead to a full scale war, which will have bad consequences.
