Police arrested four suspects Thursday for involvement in the rape of a 12-year-old child on the outskirts of Riyadh. DNA tests were used to identify the suspects. The case was reported to the police by the boy's father who said that men kidnapped his son from Sultan District in a white car and assaulted him sexually. The car, however, was reported stolen by the Egyptian owner on the same day. Police located the car in the city's Jaradiya District and found that it contained blood-stained clothes. DNA tests were conducted and matched with the records of known criminals and one of the four men was found to have been linked to the crime by DNA. The man soon admitted the crime saying that he stole the car while its engine was on. He then drove to Suwaidi District to snatch women's purses. But when he failed, he kidnapped the boy and took him to a remote area near the Jaradiya Valley where he sexually assaulted him. Police are still investigating the role of the other three suspects in the case.
