Seventy days after being forced to leave their schools due to clashes with infiltrators on the border with Yemen, staff and pupils of schools from the town of Al-Khashl have restarted classes at specially-constructed facilities near the Ahad Al-Masareha evacuee camp in Jizan. Opened this week by Saleh Al-Qelaiti, the Assistant Education Director for the region, the 22 purpose-built classrooms with science laboratories are hosting 289 intermediate and secondary school pupils. Some evacuated pupils from Al-Khashl not being accommodated at the camp have also enrolled in schools in Jizan town.
