One arrest has been made over last month's kidnapping of Egyptian boy Ahmed Issam who was found alive in Al-Darb after going missing for four days from his home in Bish, police said. Officials said the arrested was a “young man believed to be connected to the kidnapping.” Saudi Gazette reported on Dec. 28 that 10-year-old Ahmed had been spotted by police patrols alone at a taxi rank in Al-Darb late at night, and when questioned he said he “wanted to go home to Bish”. Ahmed was first reported missing after he failed to return home from a private class and his mother immediately made her suspicions known that it was a kidnapping.
