The Shoura Council has tabled for discussion next Sunday and Monday proposals to provide job seekers with unemployment benefit. A wide variety of views are expected to be heard on the proposal, which has been brought by Shoura member Salim Al-Marri in accordance with Article 23 of the Shoura Council Law. The Council's sessions will also discuss a range of other issues including judicial rulings on drugs and alcohol smugglers, as well as reports by the Transport, Communications and Information Technology Committee on an aviation agreement between the Kingdom and Uzbekistan, and on an agreement with Sudan on maritime transport and passenger and freight land transport. Other reports to be reviewed include two by the Security Affairs Committee, on a law for periodical vehicle roadworthiness tests and on amendments to military retirement law, one from the Committee for Cultural and Media Affairs, and others from the Health Affairs Committee and the Ministry of Social Affairs.
