A total of 6,300 students graduating from the King Abdul Aziz University in Jeddah Tuesday are expected to provide a boost for the labor market. Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, the Emir of the Makkah Region is scheduled to attend the graduation ceremony for graduates in diploma, bachelors, Master's and doctorate programs. The sports stadium at the university is the venue for the graduation ceremony, which would be attended by the students' guardians and parents. Dr. Osama Sadiq Tayyib, President of the university, said the students can be assured of having received an excellent education in all specializations, from the “distinctive” staff at the institution. Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Youbi, chairman of the Higher Committee for the Graduation Ceremony, said the university had completed all its preparations for the ceremony. Al-Youbi pointed out that the university has provided its students with study programs that suit the needs of the labor market requirements. They will have the basic skills that will enable them to join the labor market immediately. Dr. Abdullah Muharriji, the dean of Students' Affairs called on graduates of the first, second and summer semesters for the academic year 2008/2009 to collect their graduation robes, that are provided free of charge, from the Graduates League at the deanship of Students' Affairs. Special gifts have been allocated for the first 1,000 graduates. Dr. Abdul Fattah Mashat, the dean of Admission and Registration, said there are 12 doctorates, 299 masters and 5,892 bachelor degree graduates, including 55 education diploma graduates and 334 graduates from the health colleges.
