Rabeah, Minister of Health, has said that the continued introduction of state-of-the-art technology will help curb the number of medical errors. Al-Rabeah's remarks, made at the opening of an “advanced child care” conference in Riyadh Sunday, follow a report from the National Society for Human Rights citing 43 complaints in 2009 from the public over medical errors made at government hospitals. Al-Rabeah said, meanwhile, that medical care for children had seen “significant improvements” and appealed for further investment. He also presented a paper on conjoined twin separation surgery on which he is a global authority.
