Rosmah Mansor, wife of the Malaysian Prime Minister, led a women's delegation to Saudi Arabia which comprised the wives of ministers, chief ministers, the prime minister's office secretary, special officer, counselor and a number of businessmen in Malaysia. The Malaysian women's delegation visited Riyadh Saturday to learn about the charitable and other philanthropic activities of the King Faisal Foundation (KFF). KFF has been engaged in philanthropic activities within and outside the Kingdom since its establishment in 1976. Princess Mashail Bint Turki Al-Faisal, who represents the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies (KFCRIS) received the Malaysian delegation and took them on a tour of the King Faisal Museum and Gallery. The Malaysian women's delegation was also taken on a tour of Alfaisal University, an internationally acclaimed education institution based in Riyadh. Princess Mashail briefed Rosmah Mansor and her accompanying delegation on the historical background of Saudi Arabia and King Faisal Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, as displayed in the museum and gallery in the form of pictures, writings and other items such as the belongings of the late king. Dr. Yahya Bin Junaid, KFF Secretary General for Research and Islamic Studies, explained about the King Faisal Foundation's Research Center and its eminence in achieving and helping Muslims in many parts of the world. Princess Sarah Al-Faisal, Chairman of Al-Nahdah Philanthropic Society and one of the founders of the King Faisal Foundation, hosted a luncheon in honor of Rosmah Mansor and her accompanying delegation at The Globe Restaurant in Al-Faisaliah Tower, a landmark in Riyadh which offers a panoramic view of the Saudi capital.
