What is your opinion about the promised person, Al-Mahdi? Are there Prophetic traditions to attest to his future appearance? A – There are numerous traditions that are reported by the leading authorities in the science of the Hadith (Prophetic traditions) confirming the advent of the expected Mahdi, the Dajjal and the Messiah. Certain signs will precede his appearance; the most significant of which is that he will make justice prevail on earth after the prevalence of injustice and tyranny. It is not permissible today for anyone to allege that a certain person is the Mahdi until his signs that the Prophet (peace be upon him) foretold have appeared, such as the one mentioned above. – Permanent Committee for Islamic Research and Verdicts; Fatawa Islamiyah, vol. 1, pg. 102 Hair transplants Q- In America, when a person is afflicted with baldness, the doctor takes hair from the back of his head, and plants it in the affected area. Is this practice permitted? A – Yes. The operation consists of returning Allah's creation to what it was, removing a defect, and not to beautify, or add to what Allah Almighty created. It does not fall under the category of changing the creation of Allah. It is a form of rectifying a deficiency and removing a defect. The Prophet (peace be upon him) related a story about three men, one of whom was bald. One of them wanted Allah Almighty to return his hair to him, the angel rubbed him, and Allah Almighty gave him nice hair. – Sheikh Muhammad Bin Salih Al-Uthaymeen; Fatawa Islamiyah, vol. 8, pg. 227 __
