A multiservice maritime transport company between Tunisia and Saudi Arabia will soon be set up to bolster cooperation and reinforce bilateral trade exchanges between the two counties. It was announced during the fifth session of the Tunisian-Saudi Businessmen Council held on Wednesday in Jeddah by Sheikh Salah Kamel, board chairman of Saudi Arabia's Chambers of Commerce and Industry with the participation of members of the Tunisian delegation led by Chairman of the Tunisian Industry, Trade and Handicrafts Union (UTICA) Hedi Djilani. The meeting was aimed at further boosting and developing economic relations between both countries. Endowed with a capital of 50 million dinars, the joint project will be financed by both Tunisian businessmen (60 percent) and Saudi businessmen (40 percent). Sheikh Salah Kamel stressed the real need of Tunisian human skills in the Saudi market, stressing that it will strengthen economic co-operation between both countries. Djilani stressed his organization's commitment to help Saudi businessmen invest more in Tunisia. Sheikh Salah Kamel praised the strong Tunisian-Saudi relations, noting that Saudi businessmen have been among the first to invest in Tunisia for several decades.
