A man in his forties is currently being investigated by police in the Al-Mushrifa district over a spate of car fires witnessed recently in that area of the city. The man reportedly denies any connection with the incidents, which frequently involve the simultaneous setting alight of vehicles with seemingly no effort to disguise the acts as accidental. Police, however, are working on the testaments of eyewitnesses who have placed the detained man at the scene of the crimes.
