Issam Al-Mulla, Mayor of Al-Khobar City, thanked the Filipino community for launching a cleanup drive along the city's beach and Corniche areas. “Al-Khobar is your city, and as residents I thank you for your concern in preserving the cleanliness and ecological balance of our surroundings, including our beautiful beaches,” Al-Mulla said during the launch of the cleanup drive which was spearheaded by Bantay@Kasangga Ng OFW, a sector of the Filipino community in the Eastern Province. The cleanup campaign was launched under the banner “Clean and Green Project for Al-Khobar” and was supported by the Municipality of Al-Khobar. About 100 bags of waste material, mostly plastic bags and bottles, were collected by Filipinos and their families.
