Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi - who is scheduled to arrive in the Kingdom Tuesday – will reportedly be conveying President Hu Jintao's message to King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, on ways to enhance strategic relations between the two countries. The Chinese Ambassador to Riyadh, Yang Honglin, said that Yang and the Saudi leadership would discuss the Palestinian issue and future of the Mideast peace process and the uplift of the Arab world. The Chinese envoy said that the minister's visit coincides with the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the Kingdom and China. He said that the visit came in response to an invitation extended by Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Foreign Minister. The envoy said that the visit offered both the sides a unique opportunity to exchange their views on mutual relations and to discuss ways to further strengthen the ties. He said that the two sides would also discuss ways for a just and comprehensive solution to the lingering Arab-Israeli conflict. The Chinese envoy said that Saudi Arabia and China wished to see a stable and secure Middle East and both the countries were making all efforts to achieve the goal. The Chinese foreign minister will also call on Crown Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Premier, Defense and Aviation Minister and Inspector General. A high level delegation will also accompany the Chinese minister.
