The first Al-Baik & 20th AMAF Open Karate & Kick Boxing Tournament is set to take place at the International Philippine School in Jeddah (IPSJ) Friday and on May 16 (from 3 P.M. to 11 P.M.). AMAF president Master Romeo Boy Buayan, a 6th DBB (Shotokan), 3rd Dan in Combat Aikido (Tapondo) and a Kung Fu expert, said stiff competition awaits individual and club athletes. More than 400 participants are expected to take part in the event. Friday's event will be attended by the Hon. Philippine Consul General Ezzedin H. Tago. The tournament has been made possible by Tat Kon Tou Martial Arts Academy, FIMMA, UMMAF, KASAPI and GBI, under the auspices of the Philippine Consulate General (Jeddah), Events to be contested are the individual and team kata competition, featuring junior & senior (boys and girls) up to black belt category; Kumite (sparring) for junior and senior divisions (green, brown & black belt)on May 9; kick boxing will be an added attraction for the final day (May 16).
