Crown Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, will on Saturday announce the winner of King Faisal Award for Service to Islam. The announcement will be made after the selection committee meeting here to be presided over by the Crown Prince. Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, Emir of Makkah and Chairman of the Board of King Faisal International Award, will announce the winners of award's other categories during a ceremony to be organized by King Faisal Charity Foundation at Al-Khuzama Ceremony Hall, Monday. The selection committees have started holding their meetings to select the winners in the award's branches of Islamic Studies, Arabic Language, Literature, Medicine and Sciences. The award subjects for the Hijra year of 1431 included Islamic Studies: economic and social sides of the Islamic World during 10-13 Hijra centuries; Arabic Language: studies on tendencies of innovation in Arab poetry up to the end of the seventh Hijra century; medicine: stem cell treatment studies; and sciences: chemistry.
