An ongoing photography exhibition hosted by the King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives (DARAH) in Cooperation with the Italian Center for Research and Archiving of Photography (Craf) is showcasing rarely seen photos taken by Italian photographer Ilo Battigelli on social and economic life in the Eastern Region of Saudi Arabia during his work as the head of photography department at Saudi Aramco from 1946 to 1954. The exhibition has been running from Dec. 12 and will end on Jan.12 at the National Museum, King Abdulaziz Historical Center in Riyadh. Currently in its second edition, the exhibition is entitled “The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 1946-1954, Italian Photographs”.
