When Filipino expatriate Shahriyar woke up in the early hours of Monday morning and opened his apartment window, he saw an African youth smash the window of a car and steal objects from inside the vehicle. Shahriyar immediately reported the theft to police. Security patrols arrived on the scene and arrested the youth. After surveillance of the arrested youth's companions, the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) arrested two African suspects roaming the streets late at night Monday. They found computers stolen from Al-Bawadi District in their possession. The names of the two alleged thieves are Alexander and Qarmah. Col. Misfir Al-Ju'aid, the spokesman for the Jeddah Police, said the police are checking the records of the two suspects to see whether they are connected to any other crimes in the governorate.
