Police investigating the death of a 20-year-old woman who fell from the fourth-floor apartment of a housing block in the Al-Rihab district of Jeddah have said that a male resident of the building has confessed to being in the flat at the time of her death. The man, according to police, had initially denied any involvement in the incident, but during questioning said he had met with the woman at his flat but was in the bathroom when she fell from the balcony. In declarations to interrogators, the suspect said the woman was “behaving strangely” and that he exited the bathroom to find the balcony door open after which he saw the woman's body lying on the ground beneath. A police official said that investigations were continuing in order to discover all the details behind the incident.
