Zero visibility caused by rains at the Legazpi City International Airport in Albay forced two airlines to cancel flights between Manila and the city for the day. Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 clerk Peody Jomoc said Philippine Airlines canceled two flights between Legazpi and Manila. “Two PAL flights from Manila to Legazpi were canceled,” Jomoc said in an interview on DZBB radio. Also, he said Zest Air canceled its flights from Manila to Legazpi City. An earlier report by DZBB'in Bicol said rains in the area had caused zero visibility, and that the two airlines had informed some passengers about canceled flights. But Cebu Pacific airline said it did not cancel its flights to Legazpi City for the day. “We did not cancel any flights due to Mayon activity. Everything is operating as scheduled),” spokeswoman Candice Iyog said in a separate interview on DZBB. She said Cebu Pacific had scheduled three flights for the day – 6 A.M., 10:15 A.M., and noon.
