Shareef, Governor of the General Saline Water Conversion Corporation, has said that King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, has ordered the relevant authorities to make arrangements for the financing of Ras Alzour water desalination and power plant within six months. The project would be completed in three years. He said that it would be the world's largest water and power generation plant that would provide Riyadh with 1.25 million cubic meters of desalinated water and 2,400MW electricity.
