The General Organization for Pensions is to give pensioners and their inheritors a 15 percent increase on their monthly cost of living allowances following orders from King Abdullah. A statement from the Organization on Tuesday, said that the raise would be effective from 15 of the Hijri month of Muharram, or Jan. 1, and that it would go directly into pensioners' bank accounts. The Board of Directors at the General Organization for Social Insurance has, meanwhile, approved the Organization's budget for the SR9-billion budget for the new fiscal year of 2010-2011. The budget shows an increase of 17 percent on last year in order to meet the increase in beneficiary numbers.
