One of the pools of stagnant water left by the rains and floods in Al-Malah town in Qudaid Valley (Wadi Qudaid), about 100 km north of Jeddah. Residents say the stagnant water has become a breeding ground for harmful insects including mosquitoes. They fear the spread of dengue fever, as the insects have multiplied in their homes as well. They are calling for putting an end to these pools of water.
