Crown Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, said that the Kingdom is determined to defend its sovereignty and protect its citizens and residents from being harmed by infiltrators. The Crown Prince made these remarks while receiving the senior officers of the armed forces in Riyadh on Monday. “I don't hide that these malicious acts hurt me because such fights are not in the interests of either party. A drop of blood from any party hurts our hearts. Arab Muslim blood is very dear to our hearts.” “We wish that those who are fighting us or those who are instigating them against us would have directed their weapons toward our common enemy,” he said. “This is happening at a time when the world is making big development. It would have been better for these infiltrators if they had contributed to the building of their own country and joined hands with their dear leadership that wishes the best for all the Yemeni people,” said Crown Prince Sultan. He called on the armed forces to carry out their duty. “You should know that while you are shouldering the duty of defending your country, that Almighty Allah is with us, and the entire world is with us. We didn't attack anyone. We don't want our men to be an evil force against our brothers. We always want them to be a force for peace and wellbeing.” He said that the Kingdom has always been a peace-loving nation and has a long record in working for peace in the world. “Regrettably, we have found ourselves in a position dictated to us. We have no choice but to confront it honorably and proudly.” He expressed his admiration for the armed forces. “Last Saturday I was among my injured sons in the Armed Forces Hospital in Riyadh. I was amazed by their genuine insistence and honest will to recover in order to return to the battlefield as soon as possible. Make sure that the families of martyrs, injured, and missing are in the eyes of their leader King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz and he is very caring for each one of them.” Prince Sultan expressed his thanks and appreciation to all the commanders of the armed forces and prayed to Allah to shower His mercy on the souls of the martyrs. Also present at the reception were Prince Khaled Bin Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz, Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation for Military Affairs; Deputy Chief of Staff Lt. General Hussein Bin Abdullah Al-Qubail and commanders of the different sectors of the armed forces. Meanwhile, Prince Sultan donated SR1 million to the family of the murdered 18-year-old Obaid Bin Yahia Bin Jaber Al-Qhtani. This was for pardoning the 19-year-old murderer of their son in Abha.
