A resident of Al-Rakouba in Jizan took his own life with a pistol on Sunday after suffering “loneliness and grief” following the death of his son. The man, who shot himself in the head, had become depressed after losing ownership of a cattle pen, and his mental state was then exacerbated by the loss of his eldest son in a car accident. Police in Al-Ahsa, meanwhile, are investigating the death of a 40-year-old Asian man who hanged himself on Sunday at a farm near Al-Jafar. Police said the deceased tied a rope to the branch of a palm tree.
