The Shoura (Consultative) Council has praised the increased budgetary allocations for education and manpower training. These sectors, it said, are considered as an investment in human-building which constitutes the pillar of development and its objectives. In its regular session here Sunday, presided over by Speaker Dr. Abdullah Bin Muhammad Bin Ibrahim Aal Al-Sheikh, the Shoura Council hailed the figures of the state budget, which, it said, stand historically as the biggest government expenditures since the inception of the Kingdom. The Shoura expressed its appreciation to King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, for the keenness he showed on continuing to reinforce sustainable development process in the country. Saudi Arabia, the Shoura said, has secured its economic position on the world map, thanks to the economic reforms led by King Abdullah. The Shoura also congratulated Crown Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, and Prince Naif Bin Abdul Aziz, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior. The Shoura Council appreciated the guiding speech by King Abdullah during the presentation of the budget, addressed to ministers, that they should implement it with devotion. “Such a guidance would only come from a devout and trusted leader, keen on the religion, the homeland, and keen on his people's interests, and all that is embodied in King Abdullah,” the Shoura said.
