The Credit Bank in Khamis Mushayt recieved a large number of loan applicants that exceeded 200 men and women at a time, causing some of them to sustain injuries because of fights breaking out. With the utter lack of organization, the bank closed its doors to applicants. A number of applicants got upset and quarreled with security guards. An eyewitness said that a man was injured in his hand after it got stuck in the door while it was being closed. The bleeding man left for the hospital shortly after. As the Bank's doors were closed, people had to sit on pavements and adjacent streets, still hoping to enter and reach the application area inside. Mosfir Ghorm Allah, Ali Mousa and Mar'ee Al-Qahtani said they had to wait for hours under the sun in queues that were completely disorganized. They said they had come from several rural centers and areas of Asir Province. A female applicant said she and her companions had to leave the location because of the total chaos. Colonel Abdullah Al-Qarni, spokesman for the Asir Police Department, said the bank was supported with two Khamis Mushayt police privates to aid in tackling the situation. Qarni added that even though people should be aware of the importance of organizing themselves in such matters, the Bank's security should do its job and its management ought to organize people in a better way because this kind of chaos happens every day. – Okaz __
