An Ethiopian man is being held by police on charges of murdering a man after he confessed to smashing his victim's skull with an iron bar and fleeing from the scene of the crime at Mt. Omar in Makkah. The man was held by police in Wadi Haroun, some 25km to the north of Al-Qunfudha, after officers rounding up illegal immigrants had their suspicions aroused by blood stains on the Ethiopian's clothes and signs of bruising, as well as his nervous behavior. Following questioning and his confessions, the man was passed back to police in Makkah.
