Saudi Ambassador to India, Saleh Mohammad Al-Ghamdi met earlier this week with a number of Saudi students at Bangalore University's Dayanand Sagar College of Engineering (DSCE). During the meeting, Ambassador Ghamdi was reassured on the conditions of Saudi students in DSCE and listened to many of the issues raised by the male and female students. The college chairman and a number of professors attended the meeting. DSCE was founded by late Sri R. Dayanand Sagar in 1979. It is one of the premier engineering educational institutions in India, located on a landscape of 29 acres of land in Bangalore's south. DSCE has well qualified and experienced teaching and supporting staff, with well equipped laboratories. The institution has a library collection of more than 30,000 volumes, equipped with a digital library and Internet center. The institution has hostel facilities for boys and girls, along with well-established training and placement services. DSCE alumni have occupied high positions in educational institutions and R&D establishment industries in India and abroad. DSCE organizes seminars, workshops, teaching talks, sports and extracurricular activities regularly.
