Baha, Prince Muhammad Bin Saud Bin Abdul Aziz, will inaugurate the third international Pediatrics Conference on Saturday. The conference, organized by the pediatrics department at King Fahd Hospital in Al-Baha, is the first in the Kingdom to obtain 40 educational hours from the European Council for Continuing Medical Education, the American Academy for Continuing Medical Education and the Saudi Board for Medical Specialties, according to the regional Director General of Health Affairs, Abdul Hamid Al-Ghamdi. “Doctors from the Kingdom will be joined by participants from Europe, the US and Arab countries,” Al-Ghamdi said. “The occasion will give medical staff in the region the chance to learn from the experience of a variety of pediatrics departments.” The Assistant Executive Director General for Medical Affairs at King Fahd Hospital, Ali Dammas, said the conference would be holding training courses with doctors “looking at a variety of cases of chronic illnesses to draw up treatment plans in coordination with the hospital's doctors.”
