What does Minister of Culture and Information Abdul Aziz Khoja have on his wish list? Not a lot. Just a media production city funded with local capital, and women academics in the Arab media. And more Saudi satellite companies. And more Arab media alliances. So says Abdullah Al-Jasser, the Deputy Minister of Culture and Information for Media Affairs. Al-Jasser, speaking at an event in Jeddah Tuesday night organized by Sadaf Media Production Company and the MBC Group to honor early generations of Saudi actors, also revealed wish list details of his own: a Saudi satellite company to join the three already existing; a private Saudi satellite, and female academics devoted to serving in the Arab media. The aspirations of the highest authorities were noticed by the figures being honored at the event, with Saudi actor and producer Hassan Asiri thanking the Ministry of Culture for its support in “gracing the 20th anniversary of my production company Sadaf and in honoring Saudi actors”. Also honored at the event were actors Hassan Dardir, Abdulaziz Al-Hazza, Muhammad Al-Mufareh Muhammad Hamza, Fouad Bakhsh, Abdul Rahman Al-Khereiji, Ali Al-Madfa, Ali Ibrahim, and Sa'ad Khidr.
