Prince Talal Bin Abdul Aziz, President of the Arab Gulf Program for United Nations Development Organizations, expressed his happiness at the return of Crown Prince Sultan to the Kingdom after a successful trip abroad for medical treatment. He said in a press conference he held here on Monday that “it concerns not only the family but also Arab people that a prominent Arab leader had returned home safely”. Prince Talal noted the success of this year's Haj despite the circumstances of the global spread of swine flu. The success, he said, is due to the efforts of the relevant authorities. The Prince noted King Abdullah's continuous reforms and the King's order to form a committee to investigate the damage and loss of life caused by the torrential rains that hit Jeddah recently. He emphasized the necessity to bring to account anyone who is proved to have been at fault and the need to combat corruption. The Prince also spoke about the operation of Saudi military forces along the country's southern borders to remove infiltrators, noting the GCC and Arab support for the Kingdom's efforts to secure its territories.
