A Saudi paratrooper was killed in Jizan Saturday by infiltrators who shot him while he and fellow soldiers were praying. “My son is a martyr who died in the service of his religion and King and country,” said the father of Abdulrahman Khalaf Al-Buluwi as the family received condolences at their home in Tabuk. “He was stationed at the Holy Sites during Haj, and then he was sent to Jizan.” Al-Buluwi's father himself was a decorated soldier in the army.“I would be glad for my two other sons to be accepted in the army as substitutes for myself and my martyred son,” he said. Infiltrators take vehicles, schools Military sources said that air raids were conducted Saturday over the village of Al-Jabri to the southeast of Al-Khuba town, targeting “gangs that infiltrated and seized commercial vehicles and fortified themselves in houses and schools.” According to the sources, infiltrators reentered the village after having been pushed over earlier and shot at military field personnel who surrounded some houses. The sources said an unspecified number of arrests were made, while Apache helicopters targeted groups fleeing back toward Yemeni territory.
