Master Minded pulled away from last year's winner Voy Por Ustedes to win the Queen Mother Champion Chase by 19 lengths when the Cheltenham Festival resumed on Thursday. After Day Two was abandoned because of dangerously high winds, the organizers packed 10 races into Thursday's card, postponing the $620,000 Queen Mother Chase by a day. Master Minded, a 5-year-old trained by Paul Nicholls, gave them a master class with Ruby Walsh aboard, taking the lead ahead of Voy Por Ustedes with three fences to go in the two-mile (3.2km) race. Jockey Robert Thornton had tracked Master Minded since the start of the race and moved Voy Por Ustedes into the ideal position after they both overtook longtime leader Tamarinbleu. But Master Minded had far more energy left as last year's winner tried to make a move with two fences to go and pulled away to win the race easily. Voy Por Ustedes finished another 16 lengths ahead of third-place Fair Along. Tony McCoy won his first race of the 2008 meet, the Royal & Sun Alliance Chase, on Albertas Run eight weeks after breaking two vertebrae in a fall. __
