Talents Development Guild (SPA-TDG), an accredited community organization with the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh, has once again successfully staged a musical presentation featuring schoolchildren from various Filipino schools in the Eastern Province. “Once Upon a Dream”, this year's presentation, like the 2008 musical production, “Songs of Love, Songs of Life,” focused on the themes of family, the values of honesty and courage, and optimism in the face of challenges. It featured numbers from Walt Disney animated films including Snow White, The Little Mermaid, and Beauty and the Beast. The student performers included: Tess Deray, Edjelynn Kristiane Jose, Reign Mark Noriega, Karl Michael Pascua, Godwyn Gabriel Valenciano, Jan Ivan Miranda, Karolina Porcioncula, Aubrey Lucas, Bianca Alexandra de Vera, Angel Acosta, Jayvee Miranda, Katrina Rey, Eya Maquiling, Abraham Macatuggal, Jemuel Philip Deray, Derick Louis Noriega, Joffrey Toni Pendon, Nicoli John Baluyut, Joshua del Castillo, Daniel Clarin, Gino Rioflorido, Michael Gatioan, Jeffrey Luces, Carl Bangloy, Julius Solivio, Mike Czelvin Tagle, Yazmin Saleh, Mary Christine Angelie Parket, Jezreel Tarantan, Louis Jose, Lemuel Araya, Chloe Araya, Peter Parker, Simon Yu, Jejomar Aaron Teves, Claire Jeaed Jose, Kaye Bautista, Aga Mananes, Shanyle Dumanhog, Carl Bangloy, Gian Carlo Gonzales, Leo Paul Eledia, Mico Abacan, Justin Tambua, Janmari Pineda, Katrina Porcioncula, Princess Arabia, Justin Tambua, Anjanette Campos, Denise Azucena, Jericho Abrenica, and Neil Arcano. The stage directors were Romeo Tampol and Dennis Obispo; and artistic direction by Roderick G. Noriega. Noriega, also president of the SPA-TDG, said proceeds of the show will be contributed to charities for the victims of the typhoons that ravaged some parts of the Philippines and to the Cartwheel Foundation, an advocacy organization supporting indigenous communities in the Philippines.
