The Guardians Brotherhood Inc. (GBI) held its 25th founding anniversary on Dec. 3 in Taif, with exciting programs. Elvira Penaranda, the program's emcee, opened the event that heated up the cold breeze from the mountain ranges. The celebration coincided with the 3rd founding anniversary of the GBI-Taif chapter. Spearheading the celebration were Desert Fox president Rodolfo Mellam and his deputy Jimeron Velasco. Follow-Guardians from various places in the Kingdom made their way to Taif for the double celebrations. Among those who attended the event were the members of the Desert Mover chapter (Jeddah) led by Eldemer Flores and Eric Delos Reyes, along with the regional adhoc committee headed by Virgilio Preza. Also in attendance was regional president George Ferrer whose group came straight from Riyadh. Julio Vinluan, PGBI chairman, and Gener Dalisay, chairman of the group known for its acronym OFWCom, gave inspirational messages. The celebration's theme reflected GBI's motto, “We cannot be separated in interest, or divided in purpose, We will stand together until the end.”
