Following the air strikes carried out by Saudi jet fighters on Monday against the infiltrators who tried to enter the Kingdom through Al-Mofjah and Al-Lajm villages in Najran, authorities have started a permanent camp set up on the road leading to Habona province located 75 km northwest of the border villages. The team found that 60 percent of the work on the camp has been completed, including the opening of roads, erecting of more than 400 tents and construction of dozens of toilets. Abdullah Salem Haider, Head of the Roads Team, said work on the camp for evacuees started at the beginning of Dhul Hijja, adding that the construction team has leveled the earth on the site, cleared away trees and opened passages between the tents. He said the local branch of the Ministry of Finance has erected the tents while the Mayoralty began asphalting the dirt roads between the tents. The electricity company in Najran has also made the necessary arrangements to connect the camp with the region's electricity grid. Saeed Bin Fayez Al-Sheheri, Mayor of Najran, said Prince Mishal Bin Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz, Emir of Najran, has directed that the camp be erected in order to accommodate refugees in the event of an emergency. A construction team is working around the clock to finish the site as soon as possible as per the Emir's instructions. The Civil Defense spokesman in Najran had earlier said he had not received any instructions so far for the evacuation of any village in Najran.
