Dubai Municipality announced on Sunday the completion of 7 public parks in various areas of the emirate of Dubai. Engineer Hussain Nasser Lootah, director general of Dubai Municipality, said “they include four residential parks in Al Qusais-2, Abu Hail, Garhoud-2 and the Hill Park in Hatta and three pond parks in Al Quoz-2, Al Qusais-3 and Al Nahda. As per the planning standards, Dubai requires to work for making 8 percent of the city areas green.” He said the move is part of the municipality's efforts aimed at improving public services and public utilities and to provide residential areas in the emirate with parks. He said the municipality seeks to cover the new communities from the planning while providing public facilities for residents of all regions, whether urban areas such as Al Warqa, Nadd Al Hamr, Mirdiff, Al Mizhar, Nadd Al Shiba, Umm Suqeim, Al Barsha, Umm Al Sheif, Al Tawar and Khawaneej or rural areas such as Hatta, Hebab, Al Nizwa and Al Aweer. Four parks have been completed, among them is Abu Hail Residential Park, located in Hor Al Anz East, which was built at a cost of AED7.88 million.
