As search for flood victims continues, the Civil Defense found Saturday at least 14 vehicles sucked into a big muddy floodwater-filled hole in the Kilo 11 area, southeast of Jeddah. There were trapped passengers in some vehicles, including a family of father, mother, three children, and one grandchild. The father was identified as Muhammad Ali Al-Shehri. The Civil defense has recovered 10 vehicles and four are still in the ditch. It was wide enough to drive all these vehicles into it, a search team member said. “This open hole is part of a Jeddah mayoralty's project,” said Ali Al-Mufadali. It had been left open for six months, contributing to the death of the family, he said.
