King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, inaugurated on Saturday the King Abdullah Medical City in Makkah and Mina Al-Wadi Hospital. “The noble goal of our health projects is to provide the best health care ever,” the King said in the guestbook, thanking Allah for the completion of these projects. The two health facilities will serve both residents and pilgrims. “I am for everything that keeps the Saudi national in good health. Every citizen's health is important to me,” the King said after he was briefed on health projects across the Kingdom. Minister of Health Abdullah Al-Rabeah said that the health situation of pilgrims is “reassuring and excellent,” despite the challenges of the swine flu virus. And now the two health projects have come as a gift from the King to pilgrims, Al-Rabeah said. King's speech As Haj symbolizes the unity of Muslims coming together at one time, in one place and with one purpose, King Abdullah called upon the Ummah to learn a lesson from this spiritual gathering and to be united in one goal and achieve their nations' ambitions, in his speech to this year's pilgrims, carried by the SPA Saturday. “I pray to Allah to make this ritual a new blessing for Muslims to show their brotherly solidarity and sympathy for each other to achieve their common goals here and in the Hereafter,” he said. The Ummah, the King said, has for a long time missed out on many great spiritual lessons from the Haj, citing a part of the Prophet's Farewell Sermon delivered in Arafat 14 centuries ago “Verily! Your blood, property and honor are sacred to one another like the sanctity of this day of yours, in this month of yours and in this city of yours.” “Allah the Almighty has graced Saudi Arabia with the duty of serving pilgrims and it fully realizes the magnitude of this sacred responsibility,” King Abdullah said. The Kingdom is doing its duty to please Allah the Almighty Who has guided the state to better serve His guests, he added. “We are doing everything it takes to serve the Guests of Allah and we will not allow anyone to disrupt the Haj. The security of pilgrims is a responsibility that accepts no tolerance,” he said. The Kingdom has the financial resources and manpower to secure the Haj and make sure pilgrims return safely to their homes blessed by the Haj and cleansed of their sins, he said. Islam has come to guide people to the good, mercy, security, and prosperity, the King said. Islam has also strived, the King said, to keep the integrity of human beings intact and to save their lives, mind, and honor and to develop a way of life based on ease, citing the Holy Qur'an “Allah intends for you ease, and He does not want to make things difficult for you”. (Surah 2, verse 185).
