Two Saudi soldiers, killed in clashes with infiltrators along the border with Yemen, were laid to rest in Al-Naseem Graveyard Monday in Riyadh. This was in the presence of the Commander of the Saudi Navy Gen. Prince Fahd Bin Abdullah Bin Muhammad and Commander of the Saudi Ground Forces Gen. Abdulrahman Al-Murshid. The two commanders offered their condolences to the families, hailing the bravery of the two men who died in the battle of honor. The bodies of 1st Lt. Lafi Al-Jahdali and Private Majed Al-Shammari arrived in Riyadh Sunday night and the funeral prayers were held Monday at Al-Rajhi Mosque. Al-Jahdali was killed Sunday on the battlefield defending his country. Al-Shammari, 23, from the Saudi Navy died Saturday morning from a bullet during the fighting with infiltrators along the border. “I am so proud of my son who died defending his people. He did what our religion instructs when attacked. He was a martyr,” said Haif Al-Shammari, father of the deceased private. In Ahad Rufaidah in the Asir region, the body of 1st Lt. Khaled Al-Zahim was buried Monday. Al-Zahim, 26, was also killed during the ongoing clashes with infiltrators along the Yemeni border. Prince Faisal Bin Khaled, Emir of Asir, visited the family and offered his condolences.
