This is with reference to the editorial “Can Ummah unite?” (Nov. 22). Muslim Ummah can be united as it was united at the time of the Prophet (peace be upon him) or at the time of Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman and Ali (may Allah be pleased with them). If the Ummah can recognize the Imam of this age then things can get better. It is the responsibility of all Muslim scholars and leaders to recognize him on the merits of Qur'an just for the sake of unity of the Muslim Ummah. We must forget all prejudice while doing that. Always remember what the Prophet (peace be upon him) said in the Farewell Sermon.
