Some 35 dresses, gowns, separates and other items will be sold at a London auction on Dec. 8 at the largest sale of clothing that belonged to the actress, who won an Oscar for her first starring role as a runaway princess in “Roman Holiday, Among the highlights is a haute couture cloque silk dress by Givenchy, the designer with whom Hepburn was most closely linked, which she wore to promote “Paris when it Sizzles. The dress is estimated to sell for $17,000 to $25,000, but could fetch far more. Hepburn's clothes are not often available at auction.
