Pilgrims can find all the information they need to perform Haj at a special exhibition which opened Sunday in Makkah. The exhibition was organized by the Scientific Committee of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs and will continue until the end of the Haj season. Extensive lectures and lessons are available on all topics related to the holy pilgrimage. The material is available in different languages, according to Muhammad Al-Hmoud, head of the Scientific Committee at the Ministry. “The brochures are in English, French and several other languages and contains the messages recorded by the guests of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques,” said Al-Hmoud. “The visitors to the exhibition will also be able to see a visual presentation explaining the rituals of Haj and Umrah, and other rituals required during the days of Tashriq,” said Al-Hmoud. Al-Hmoud said the Scientific Committee has hired 11 people to translate the lectures and lessons delivered by religious experts. “Pilgrims will receive books and translated copies of the Qur'an with translation, provided by the King Fahd Complex for Printing the Holy Qur'an in Madinah.” Women also will be involved in these new programs, Al-Hmoud added. “We are seeking help from a number of female religious experts so that we can provide the same kind of service for women pilgrims.” The guidelines also include advice for pilgrims on ways to avoid clogging up roads and other routes at the overcrowded holy sites.
