An Egyptian tourist boat carrying 21 foreign passengers sank off the coast of Sharm El-Sheikh Thursday. 19 of the tourist passengers were rescued - 14 Spanish and five Egyptians - while as of late Thursday night rescue teams were still searching for the remaining two, both Spanish. According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Coral Princess sank seven kilometers from Ras Um Sid, which is located at the end of a small peninsula on the southern Sinai Peninsula. SPA said that a vessel with advanced search and rescue equipment had been sent to the location of the Coral Princess. An Egyptian official was cited as saying that poor weather and high waves had caused the boat to sink.
