Flyers win again, edge Kings 3-2

The Philadelphia Flyers opened a five-game road trip with their seventh victory in eight games, beating the Los Angeles Kings 3-2 in the NHL Wednesday.
Mika Pyorala scored his first NHL goal and backup goalie Brian Boucher made 37 saves.
Mike Richards and James van Riemsdyk also scored, and Braydon Coburn had two assists for the Flyers.
For Los Angeles, Jarrett Stoll had a goal and an assist.
Oilers 6, Avalanche 2: In Edmonton, Alberta, Edmonton overcame a two-goal deficit to beat Colorado.
Ryan Potulny and Patrick O'Sullivan scored third-period goals for the Oilers. After Sam Gagner pulled the Oilers within one with 16 seconds left in the second period, Potulny tied it on a power play at 2:45 of the third. O'Sullivan gave Edmonton a 5-4 lead with 8:53 remaining, and Alex Hemsky added an empty-net goal. Shawn Horcoff and Gilbert Brule also scored for Edmonton, which ended a run of four losses.
Milan Hejduk scored twice for Colorado.
Stars 3, Red Wings 1: In Detroit, goaltender Alex Auld made 31 saves to help Dallas beat in-form Detroit.
Mike Ribeiro, Matt Niskanen and Loui Eriksson scored for Dallas while Brad Richards and James Neal each had two assists.
Henrik Zetterberg scored for Detroit, and Jimmy Howard stopped 29 shots but the Red Wings' winning streak was ended at three.
Panthers 6, Sabres 2: In Buffalo, New York, Michael Frolik scored twice, and Dominic Moore and Rostislav Olesz had a goal and an assist each as Florida routed Buffalo.
Tomas Vokoun made 26 saves, while Stephen Weiss and Cory Stillman also scored for the Panthers, who have gone 6-2-1 after a slow start to the season.
For Buffalo, Drew Stafford and Clarke MacArthur scored as the Sabres winning streak was stopped at three.
Coyotes 3, Wild 2: In St. Paul, Minnesota, Scotty Upshall scored the winner with 4:39 to play, lifting Phoenix over Minnesota.
Radim Vrbata had a goal and an assist, and James Vandermeer also scored for the Coyotes.
Minnesota's Antti Miettinen tied it 2-2 with 4:58 to play, but Phoenix countered just 19 seconds later, with Upshall blasting in a rebound. Andrew Brunette added a goal for the Wild.
