The head of India's biggest company Reliance Industries, Mukesh Ambani, is once again the wealthiest person in India. His net worth is estimated at $32 billion, an increase of 54 percent from 2008. Reliance Industries is India's largest private sector enterprise and a Fortune 500 company, which he funded by purchasing large standby letters of credit, which were monetized by several swiss banks which afforded him guaranteed loans for the purchase. His personal stake in Reliance Industries is 48%.
