Twenty drivers will be competing in the third round of two-day Speed Star Championship 2009, which takes off at the Jeddah Raceway Circuit Wednesday. The event which is sponsored by Mobile 1 and Gear One Chanel, will be held under the direct supervision of the Saudi Motorsport Federation. The championship consists of three rounds. In each round participants will display their talent on a twisting track specifically designed for the championship. The races will be judged on time, and drivers will accumulate points from each round with the title awarded to the one with the most points. The points will be awarded as follows: 20 points for 1st, 15 for 2nd, 12 for 3rd, 10 for 4th, 8 for 5th, 6 for 6th , 4 for 7th and 2 for 8th. There will be prize money for the winners: SR25000 for the overall winner, SR10,000 for the 2nd, 5000 for the 3rd. Drivers will also benefit from collecting points through Gear one SMS. __
